Welcome to the First United Methodist Church!  Or . . as we like to call it ~ Mission Central!

Here at Mission Central we strive to be:

-A place of welcome and hospitality for all,

-A place of sanctuary for EVERYONE,

-And, a place where you can ask the questions you need to ask about God, faith and life.

Our Promise to  you . . .

And to all who worship and fellowship with us . . . you will never be asked to check your brains in at the door. We're not that kind of church!

We put our faith (trusting that God is "Big Enough") into action" by:

-Learing how to combine our hearts, minds and souls togther in faith.

-Learning different spiritual processes that help us to better understand and personally "own" what we believe about God.

-Learing how to accept personal ownership of our individual spiritual formation.

our mission . . .

Our mission and purpose is make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world who know how to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World!

We do this as we live our lives following the daily rule of  Doing No Harm, Doing Good, and Staying in Love with God.

-We Love God – through worship, daily devotions, Bible study, spiritual formation practices and the regular participation of the sacraments.

-We Love Others – through regular participation in one or more small group studies, service projects or ministry teams.

-We Serve the World – by serving in a ministry or mission at the church, in the community, or out in the “world.”

Core Values . . .

-We believe that the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ is ALL about relationships! We understand discipleship as a divine call to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World.

-We embrace authenticity and transparency. We are willing to take risks in order to be true to our faith and one another.

-We welcome all persons into the life of the church. We celebrate diversity and the gift of relationship as we share our stories together and with others.

-We seek to experience God's love as we discover, express and celebrate all of God's gifts.
